A Key West Sunset

Last week, I joined my family for a little Hixson vacation in Key West, Florida. My parents and brother have visited the Keys before, but this was my first time there. The turquoise water, 80 degree weather, Cuban coffee, wandering roosters and fresh seafood were all fantastic, but the highlight of each day for me was definitely sunset.

My favorite picture from the entire trip is this shot taken Wednesday at dusk.

We missed the actual sunset by minutes that night, but the clouds were stunning long after the sun went down. That photo is 100% unedited; isn’t that incredible? I can’t get over it.

On Friday evening, we had drinks at Sunset Pier and caught the entire show.

We’re planning to watch Silver Linings Playbook tonight. A very different show from last Friday’s entertainment above, but I’m still looking forward to it!

    • I hope you get there soon! It only took us between 3 and 4 hours to drive from Miami, so it would be a perfect 3-day weekend getaway spot (depending on where you live in Florida)!
